Filthy Gay Sex

I'm in the middle of reading What Do Gay Men Want?: An Essay on Sex, Risk, and Subjectivity by David M. Halperin. A few minutes ago, I read this passage, and it really resonated with me:
"AIDS prevention efforts that appeal to the good citizen in all of us therefore miss the point. If we were really so keen to be good citizens, we wouldn't be having so much filthy gay sex--or getting such a kick out of it" (55-6).
(Okay, I originally wrote, "I came across this passage," but considering the quotation, I thought it wasn't the best phrase.)
